Bathroom Fitter Apprentice Programme

This Bathroom Fitter Apprentice Programme has been devised to offer a recognised qualification to the bathroom fitter. Furthermore, it is the intention, that this programme will promote a career structure for new recruits into the industry and will set a minimum level of trade skill and product knowledge for the bathroom fitter.

This programme is not a stand alone programme and must only be used in combination with the Fitted Interiors Level 2 Diploma. The programme will be referenced for diploma units CC2004K (Know how to install fitted furniture), CC2004S (Install fitted furniture), CC2005K (Know how to install basic plumbing) and CC2005S (Install basic plumbing) to ensure a satisfactory level of bathroom installation knowledge and skills are provided for the candidate to become a competent bathroom fitter.

In addition, the bathroom fitter apprenticeship programme gives added value to fitter candidates by offering comprehensive product knowledge supplied by the Bathroom Manufactures Association through their Bathroom Academy.

All the other aspects of training that are deemed appropriate for an apprenticeship programme will be covered within the remaining units in the Fitted Interiors L2 Diploma. Furthermore, to show that the candidate will gain knowledge, skills and experience from working in the industry candidates will be employed and will also register onto a Fitted Interiors (Construction) Level 2 Bathroom Fitter NVQ.

North Tyneside Skills and Enterprise Centre

North Tyneside skills and Enterprise centre is part of the North Tyneside Council Adult Learning Alliance, Employability and Skills Service which functions as the Council’s adult and work-based learning provider.

There are two Skills and Enterprise Centres based in North Shields and Wallsend specialising in the delivery of construction pathways. A wide range of construction courses is available to learners of all ages and levels of ability. These include carpentry and joinery, bricklaying, fitted interiors, plastering, painting and decorating and plumbing. Construction courses are delivered at all levels and include Apprenticeships (level 2) and Advanced Apprenticeships (level 3), and NVQs for employed learners (level 2).

At North Tyneside Skills And Enterprise Centre we are proud to be able to offer training from professional’s who still operate within the industry on a daily basis, making the training and delivery fit for purpose and up to date within industry specification and current techniques. We model and evolve our training as the industry and techniques change whilst not losing sight of a sound knowledge base for our candidates and clients. We are specialists in our field and this reflects in our training.

Bedinog Traning Centre

At our purpose built Training facility set in the Heart of the Taff Bargoed Park, Trelewis, South Wales. We Offer a wide range of course options such as Carpentry, Bricklaying, Plastering, Floor and wall Tiling, Plumbing, Fitted Interior Courses, Painting and Decorating from entry level to level 3.

During your time with us you can expect to learn the Skills which provide you with a
platform to a career in the construction industry, or complete an accredited apprenticeship.

We currently running a Level 2 Fitting interiors Diploma in conjunction with Cskills, and will be
supported with the additional course accredited by the Bathroom Manufacturers Associated. (BMA) of which we are proud to be forming a partnership with.

We currently intend to run a further 2 year, Level 2 Fitting interiors Diploma, starting in September 2011. These courses can be tailored to a flexible structure to suit Employers and Learners needs and we can supply accommodation for those travelling from further distances and requiring an overnight stay.

As part of the Apprenticeship framework we are an accredited CSCS training and testing centre and provide this service to all.

We have a comprehensive team of time served Tutors, Assessors and Internal Verifiers with a vast knowledge and a wealth of experience that will provide the learner the knowledge and confidence to achieve in both theory and practical aspects. The training is provided in an environment tailored to developing your skills.
