BPEC - British Plumbing Employers Council
BPEC (Training) Ltd is a registered charity committed to identifying the education and training needs of those who work in the Building Services Engineering.
One of the most important projects for BPEC (Training) Ltd is the annual BPEC Plumbing Skills Competition, in which apprentices throughout the UK compete for the title Young Plumber of the Year for Sheet Leadwork and Pipework respectively.

BMF - Builders Merchants Federation
The BMF offers training courses to all industry stakeholders from new entrants to senior managers covering a wide variety of topics including product knowledge, sales and IT. Courses are delivered either via distance learning, or on site or at their training centre in Harlow. The BMF claims to train more than 7,000 people per year.

CITB - Construction Industry Training Board
CITB encourage people into a lifelong career within the Construction Industry and offer support and direction for new recruits. Sector specific training will be undertaken by Summit Skills.CITB offer various training courses, which support ‘Rethinking Construction’ and the supply chain framework. The courses are normally aimed at people already involved with the Industry and support with grant aid.

CIPHE – Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineers
The CIPHE offers its members various courses extending from new legislation, running a small business to the legalities of being a plumber. Their training committee consists of qualified plumbers and lecturers from colleges around the country, who are involved in the day to day training of new entrants into the Industry.

EQ Software - Kitchen & Bathroom Design and Project Management Courses
Brand new courses outlining the Principles of Kitchen and Bathroom Design coupled with in depth Project Management have been added to EQ Software’s professional training portfolio. Working closely with the KBB National Training Group (NTG) and the Bathroom Manufacturers Association (BMA), EQ has developed the brand new two day courses aimed at professional kitchen and bathroom designers as well as new entrants into the market. Day one guides delegates through the sale process from taking an initial client brief, preparing an accurate survey and creating a working plan to presenting a design. Also, creating an awareness of the latest building regulations, design trends and techniques coupled with practical sessions. Day two enables delegates to effectively manage their projects from the quoting stage to successful completion and customer sign off. From initially building the quotation, delegates learn how to professionally create and manage project milestones, track profit margins, control installation timelines and handle all the invoicing and payments. After completing the two day course, successful attendees will be awarded an industry recognised certificate which is accredited by the National Training Group and Bathroom Academy.

Training covers design, installation, marketing, sales, management, customer care, Health& Safety and Building Regulation awareness.The NTG is composed of representatives of the KBB Industry who channel their support and assistance to address the skills issue.

Summit Skills
Summit Skills is the replacement body formed by Government following the rethinking on the education and training needs of the Plumbing, Electrical and Mechanical Industries.Summit Skills has been created by employers, for employees, in order to identify and address the skills shortage. It is supported by various associations in the Industry. APHC, HVCA, BPEC, NET, ECA, SNIPEF, ESTTL and AMICUS.
