BPEC - British Plumbing Employers Council
BPEC (Training) Ltd is a registered charity committed to identifying the education and training needs of those who work in the Building Services Engineering.
One of the most important projects for BPEC (Training) Ltd is the annual BPEC Plumbing Skills Competition, in which apprentices throughout the UK compete for the title Young Plumber of the Year for Sheet Leadwork and Pipework
respectively.

BMF - Builders Merchants Federation
The BMF offers training courses and on-the-job Apprenticeship programmes to all industry stakeholders from new entrants to senior managers. A mix of on-line, self-study and short one-to-four day classroom courses covers a full range of industry topics including product knowledge, sales skills, transport and IT. BMF — like the BMA — concentrates on no-nonsense, fit for purpose training by the industry, for the industry.

Competent Person Schemes
Competent person schemes were introduced by the Government to allow individuals and enterprises to self-certify that their work complies with the Building Regulations as an alternative to submitting a building notice or using an approved inspector.It is hoped that moving towards self-certification will significantly enhance compliance with the requirements of the Building Regulations, reduce costs for firms joining recognised schemes, and promote training and competence within the
industry.

CITB - Construction Industry Training Board
CITB encourage people into a lifelong career within the Construction Industry and offer support and direction for new recruits. Sector specific training will be undertaken by Summit Skills.CITB offer various training courses, which support ‘Rethinking Construction’ and the supply chain framework. The courses are normally aimed at people already involved with the Industry and support with grant

SNIPEF - Scottish & Northern Ireland Plumbing Employers’ Federation
SNIPEF Training Services Ltd acts as a Managing Agent & Training Provider for the Modern Apprenticeship in Plumbing in Scotland. The Modern Apprenticeship in Plumbing offers an opportunity to gain practical work experience whilst working towards a SVQ Level 3 in MES Plumbing at college. The MA programme is designed to train apprentices in all aspects of domestic plumbing and heating.
