Manufacturers Courses

Many BMA members invest heavily in training and offer a comprehensive range of training courses for installers, specifiers and sales personnel.

The courses are usually held at manufacturers’ sites or other suitable locations. Training is offered to groups or on an individual basis. A certificate and training manual are often issued on completion of the course.

The majority of training courses are delivered by each manufacturer’s own network of trainers and are normally offered free of charge.

Why is Product Training so important?

Steve Saunders, Technical General Manager with a leading shower manufacturer says:
“Manufacturers rely heavily on stockists and installers having a sound understanding of how products work and how they must be installed.

Where product knowledge is limited it can result in the wrong products being specified or mistakes being made during installation. Naturally mistakes invariably lead to dissatisfied customers and demands for problems to be corrected.

Not only are mistakes costly in terms of time and money but also most importantly in terms of damaged reputations.

Through manufacturers’ product training courses and in association with the Bathroom Academy we hope to develop knowledge and expertise within the Industry, not only in terms of product awareness but also in respect of installation best practice, not least in plumbing and electrical disciplines.

Product training benefits everyone, not least the consumer.”
