Planit Fusion wins Training Achievement Award

Planit Fusion, the CAD software company, and a major supporter of the BMA’s Bathroom Academy, has won the coveted Training Achievement Award at the recent NHIC awards ceremony.
The event was the National Home Improvement Council's 33rd Annual awards luncheon in London, and was hosted by its President the Rt. Hon. Nick Raynsford MP.
Planit Fusion won the award for creating a comprehensive introduction to the world of computer aided design (CAD) with a special Bathroom Academy Guide, part of the Academy's Bathroom Studies Certification Course.
In creating the guide the company brought together all different areas of the industry to help the bathroom designer to use his/her imagination during the creation process. Planit’s software shows the results photographically. The software also makes it possible to "walk the customer through" their new dream bathroom, alter the layout, change the colour, change the tiles - all in an instant.
Judges for the awards commented that the guide and the software was “inspirational” and that it should go a long way to encouraging young people, in particular, to become part of an extremely important and progressive industry.
“We are delighted that Planit Fusion has won the Training Achievement Award,” says Yvonne Orgill, chief executive of the BMA. “Staff training in these difficult times is becoming increasingly important and the Bathroom Academy is working hard to promote the generic industry guides, the academy courses and, of course, members’ products. Sponsoring the Training Achievement Award is particularly pleasing for the Bathroom Academy since Planit Fusion is a worthy winner.”
The prestigious National Home Improvement Council Annual Awards recognise achievements in the UK housing arena. Each year since its introduction in 1974, the Annual Awards scheme has steadily progressed and is now highly regarded as the nation’s premier event in the housing modernisation calendar. This year, the Awards were presented by Lord Rooker, a former shadow housing spokesman.
